At Vornado’s Penn1 redevelopment, Mr. Gretsuk delivered a highly complex, design-driven elevator solution integrating premium wood veneer, custom tinted glass mirror, and LED panel ceilings—executed to the highest standard of architectural intent.

What distinguishes this project is the successful delivery of an industry-first solution previously considered impossible: seamlessly concealing a 72" LCD display behind a fully operational hinged glass side wall.

Engineered by Nick Gretsuk, this system incorporates a precision slide/swing hinge allowing a full 90° opening for service access, paired with a reinforced hinged rack assembly designed to:

• Secure the display under all operating conditions

• Enable safe, efficient maintenance access

• Withstand full-load drop testing forces without compromise

In addition, the installation features Mr. Gretuk's patented Sterilyft™ air sanitization system, elevating passenger safety and environmental quality.

Despite the extreme technical complexity and coordination required across engineering, fabrication, and field installation, Mr. Gretsuk delivered this project flawlessly, on schedule, and in alignment with an aggressive development timeline for one of the most prominent projects in the expanding Penn District.
