All consulting services are priced per project, not per cab. One base fee covers up to five cabs, each additional cab is $250, and projects over ten cabs are quoted separately. The first scope call is free.

Design Development & Consulting

No architect or designer, no problem. Vertice develops a bespoke cab design for your project and carries it through to a signed-off, buildable package.

Included in the base fee

• Bespoke cab design developed for your project
• Photorealistic renderings of the elevator interior
• Detailed specification prepared for bidding
• Bid submission to elevator cab manufacturers
• Bid review and leveling, and award assistance
• Hand-off for PO once the leveled bid is awarded
• Schedule confirmation directly with the vendor
• Submittal review through to approval
• Follow-up to ensure the schedule is being met
• First punchlist review on site, first cab of the project
• Fixture selection & submittals — now included (cab fixtures and Monitor Controls fixture packages)

Consulting on an Existing Architectural Design

The architect or designer has already designed the cab. Vertice makes it buildable, specifiable and code-compliant, then carries it through bidding, award and punchlist.

Included in the base fee

• Buildability and material development against the architect's design
• Weight takeoff and code review — ASME A17.1, ADA, Class A flame spread
• Detailed specification prepared for bidding
• Bid submission, bid review and leveling, and award assistance
• Hand-off for PO once the leveled bid is awarded
• Schedule confirmation directly with the vendor
• Submittal review through to approval
• Follow-up to ensure the schedule is being met
• First punchlist review on site, first cab of the project
• Fixture selection & submittals — now included (cab fixtures and Monitor Controls fixture packages)

Project Management Services

An optional layer added to either consulting service. The base fee already carries the job to a finished first cab; project management turns that into a reported, auditable process across every car on the project.

Included in the retainer

• Step-by-step bi-weekly reporting verifying the entire process end to end
• Run inside the Vertice automated project-management system, so communication with the vendor is constant and documented
• Automated backward-clock scheduling to your delivery date, tracked across a 67-milestone process
• Two vendor facility visits during progress
• Punchlist reviews of every car on the project, not only the first
• The $2,000 retainer is based on the $250 / hour rate and covers eight (8) working hours of project management.
• All work performed is time-stamped and included in the reports for reconciliation. Time and actions are billed in 5-minute increments and reconciled on the reports, itemized by email, text, call, or site visit.
• Any additional work beyond the retainer is proposed for your approval at the billable hourly rate before it proceeds.

Elevator Cab Loss Claim Reporting

Full evaluation of water or accident damage, or independent review of a contractor’s claim — backed by three decades of cab experience.

Included in the base fee

• Detailed survey report of the cab enclosure and interior finishes
• Documented account of the incident and probable cause of damage
• Full description of how the incident affected the cab finishes
• Analysis of why specific components were affected and what is required to restore them

Cab Repair & Component Consulting

The small scope that costs more to administer than it earns — handrails, a replacement cab door, a broken mirror or damaged wall panel, metal refinishing, lighting, ceiling replacement, a new floor, and more.

Included in the fee

• Pricing research on the required scope
• Three bids leveled where applicable
• Award hand-off to the cab vendor
• Follow-through — constant contact with the vendor until completion

Because the fee is charged per project, the cost per cab falls as the building gets larger. This applies to remodel and new-cab consulting and to project management — repairs are priced per project with no cab band.

Travel outside the NY / NJ area is billed at $150 per hour plus receipted or ticketed expenses (tolls, congestion charges, parking, transit, lodging). Rates are current and subject to change; a written proposal confirms scope and fee before any engagement begins.
